I just finished Cress….. NOTE: IF YOU HAVE NOT READ EITHER CINDER, AND/OR SCARLET, READ WITH CAUTION AND PREPARE TO BE SPOILED……..IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE SPOILED…..COME READ LATER AFTER YOU’VE COMPLETED BEFORE MENTIONED BOOKS…..THANK YOU

Title: Cress
Author: Marissa Meyer
Published by: Feiwel & Friends
Published: February 4th 2014
Pages: 552
Synopsis:

In this third book in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and prevent her army from invading Earth.

Their best hope lies with Cress, who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood with only her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker – unfortunately, she’s being forced to work for Queen Levana, and she’s just received orders to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue goes awry, the group is splintered. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a higher price than she’d ever expected. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing prevent her marriage to Emperor Kai, especially the cyborg mechanic. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only hope the world has.

I’m going to curl into a cocoon and stay there until Winter comes……. 😀 … 😀 …. 😀 … 😀 ….Who gets it?? XD

I can’t believe its over….I need the next book. Right. Now.

In Cress we meet a girl named Cress…..

She’s a girl who has been trapped up in a satellite for 7 years. She’s a hacker! Which I thought was pretty cool! Cress is finally freed from the satellite, and though she’s wanting to see the beauty around her and delve into the world of romance, she has to use her skills to keep herself, and her new friends safe from Queen Levana. But with the wedding date coming closer, the team separated in 3 places and a new outbreak of the plague, will they make it in time to save Kai from a marriage alliance with the evil Lunar Queen?! We can only hope….

In this book we get to read from Dr. Erland’s POV, I really liked that because we get to see what he’s thinking.
Also, I wasn’t that huge of a fan of Cress, especially not at first….I thought, “She acts like she’s 10….” And tbh she seemed way younger than Rapunzel from Tangled acted, I just felt that she was so childlike…..She did go through some changes, but I still, at the end, pictured her as kid.

I just want to say that I LOVE the Cinder/Thorne relationship and Iko/Thorne relationship XD They have me cracking up!
Also, I think its hilarious how oblivious Kai is XD You’ll really notice it in the last chapter XD I was laughing so hard…..

Now that I’ve finished it….I’m trying to keep my sanity by reading a book….but the book isn’t Winter….and…now….

OK….back….:D I’m just really impatient for November 10th….When WINTER comes OUT!!!

THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE:

Someone is wearing a blindfold, he walks into the bathroom while a girl is in the shower, she panics and says “I don’t have any clothes on!” And he points to his eyes and says “I know, don’t rub it in”….

I’m giving Cress 5 out of 5 hearts, because even though there were a few things that I didn’t particularly like, I loved the book overall!

5-hearts
